Five questions buyers ask about Helm, answered plainly.
How do trainees practice with Helm?
In three modes. Roleplay rehearses port-operations situations, such as a sea pilot coming aboard. Free talk keeps a trainee speaking. Quiz checks the phrases they have learned. Every session is scored, and the full session exports as a PDF the instructor can keep.
Where does Helm's content come from?
Helm was built from port-operations training material. That is why its conversations are about situations in ports and aboard ships rather than general English. Topics beyond that material, and the design of the syllabus, stay with your instructors and the academy.
What does the instructor get?
A score for every session and a PDF export of the whole session, with the mode it ran in. Instructors can use these records to coach each trainee over the course. Certification and grades remain the instructor's decision; Helm does not grade for them.
Does Helm explain things in Korean?
No. Helm speaks English only; it is a tutor for maritime English. Explanations in Korean or any other language stay with the instructor. If the languages Helm supports change, this page will say so, with the date of the change.
How is Helm priced?
Per seat for academies, or a quote for institution-wide use. The price depends on the number of seats, the modes you use and PDF export. The per-seat figure will be published on the pricing sheet with its date once it is set; until then, every deployment is quoted.
